In late 2020, a light-hearted discussion during a weekend dinner with friends and family about missing ethnic foods led to market research on how the missed food products can be made available here in the US markets. What initially started as a fun project to be worked on weekends evolved into a passion project after months of market research and two years of real-time experiences in food distribution. Fueled by a desire to bridge gaps and automate supply chains, Surfera was born.
